Aillwee Cave & Birds of Prey

Aillwee Cave is a magnificent cave under the Burren landscape, located south of Ballyvaughan village.

There are guided tours of the cave that take approximately 30 minutes. The tour takes you through the beautiful caverns, over bridged charms, under weird formations and along side a waterfall that sometimes sprays the unsuspecting visitor. Marvel at the frozen waterfall and explore the hibernation chambers of long-extinct brown bears. You could visit their Farm Shop and sample their award winning cheeses.

Opening Hours: Open daily all year from 10am

The Burren Birds of Prey boasts the largest and most varied selection of Birds of Prey in Ireland. You can enjoy a flying display in the purpose built amphitheatre set against the stunning backdrop of Aillwee Mountain. There is also the opportunity to go on a "Hawk Walk" where you can handle, fly and feed your very own hawk.
