Michael Cusack Centre

Located in the heart of the Burren in Carron, Co Clare, the Michael usack Centre was established to celebrate Michael Cusack who was the founder of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The lovingly restored traditional thatched cottage reflects the character of 19th century Ireland. The dwelling appears today as it did after the Famine. Even the courtyard and surrounding fields remain largely untouched. The contemporary display in our award winning visitors centre offers a fresh perspective on Irish history, heritage and culture. For anyone interested in the changing face of Irish life, the Michael Cusack Centre is a treasure chest of living history
